Meet Virginia, explore Richmond

This page is devoted to resources for you to have the best summit experience while staying in gorgeous downtown Richmond, Virginia. Here you'll find everything from parking options for those commuting, to restaurants, to the must-see spots while you're in town.

Most importantly, we have information about our gracious hosts--the Virginia Association of Recovery Residences and the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services--without whom this event wouldn't be possible.

Meet Our Hosts:
The Virginia Association of Recovery Residences

As Virginia’s only NARR-accredited body, the Virginia Association of Recovery Residences monitors, evaluates, and improves standards to build the highest quality for recovery residences--so that all Virginians have timely access to effective recovery support services.

VARR members provide the highest level of service to their residents and clients throughout Virginia. Members have been accredited through VARR’s rigorous screening process using the NARR Standard, thus ensuring top-notch services. VARR also presents a collaborative voice for recovery residences throughout our Commonwealth and works to ensure that everyone in recovery is able to access recovery housing that offers quality programming for all residents.

Our Supporters: Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services

NARR would also like to extend a special thank you to the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services State Opioid Response Grant (SOR) Team for their support in making this year’s conference possible. Virginia’s SOR Recovery Team consists of Audrey Dervarics, Jenna Lee Mathews, Joscelyn Inton-Campbell, Julia Simhai, and Stacey McClellan.

Virginia’s SOR Grant Team has supported NARR’s state affiliate in Virginia for multiple years and continues to champion recovery housing throughout the state of Virginia.

We thank the Department and the SOR Grant Team for giving us the opportunity to put on this event. We hope our education and networking continues to foster and grow allies as dedicated as you to people in recovery, and recovery housing. Thank you for making us so much better together!
