Description

This session provides recovery residence staff and operators with the tools to create inclusive, trauma-informed environments for transgender and non-binary residents. Grounded in NARR’s national standards and ethics, the training covers best practices for affirming placement, respectful language, privacy, and addressing bias. Participants will explore common barriers faced by transgender individuals in recovery housing and learn actionable strategies to support equity and inclusion. The session includes real-world scenarios, policy templates, and a practical toolkit to support implementation.
