Beth Fisher Sanders has worked for over 30 years in clinical, counseling, and peer support capacities and holds licensure and certifications in social work, addictions counseling, supervision, and medication assisted therapy. Fueled by a vision of providing quality life-skill oriented recovery residences, she founded Hope Homes Recovery Residences. HOPE and now Lambda Hope (serving the LGBTQI community) has grown to be a leader in residential and recovery support, facilitating community, home and belonging in social model-based recovery residence settings. In 2011 Beth was the founding President of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, an organization that now serves over 30 states and has become instrumental in creating and implementing national standards and ethics for all types and levels of recovery residences. Beth continues to serve NARR as the Standards Committee chair, in addition to serving on the boards of several local state affiliates of NARR. She is a noted speaker, writer, consultant and advocate regarding recovery, mental health and continuing care issues.
