Description

SAMHSA's Office of Recovery leads the Interagency Workgroup on Recovery Housing to coordinate federal activities and promote the availability of recovery housing. This session is an opportunity to hear of the IWG's activities and provide a forum for the audience to offer feedback, share perspectives and raise concerns about programs or policies at the local, state and federal level. This dialogue will support the IWG goal in promoting best practices and safe and supportive environments for people in or seeking recovery.

Objectives
1) Understand the collaboration and coordination within the Federal government to ensure quality recovery housing to people in or seeking recovery.
2) Examine the Best Practices of Recovery Housing report and intent of it.
3) Discuss and identify needs and challenges that may exist in communities for organizations operating or interested in operating recovery homes.
