                                        Description
                                    How Michigan has funded its NARR Affiliate (MARR) to expand its bed count from 300 to over 2,500 beds in two years; develop a 20-hour NARR training together with a 5-hour Michigan state-specific training; provide and onboard the Rec-Cap recovery capital assessment instrument to over 60 RR operators; develop LGBTQ+ policies under the new Michigan statutes including gender as a protected class; provide funding for the 2023 NARR best practices conference; and generally advocate for recovery in Michigan which has resulted in a doubling of the per night bed rate for RR residence as well as providing for opioid litigation settlement funding for the purchase and/or long-term lease of RR in underserved

                                    Upon completing this session, attendees will…1. Be able to identify the major federal and state funding sources for an affiliate. 2. Have a strategy for tying funding to certification. 3. Be aware of funding use limitations and reporting requirements that come with funding.
