Dr. Miles is an addiction health services researcher and Postdoctoral Fellow at Rutgers University School of Social Work. Broadly, her research focuses on recovery residence and residential treatment for individuals with substance use disorder, including how organizational characteristics are associated with substance use outcomes. Dr. Miles also conducts research on racial/ethnic disparities in the use of substance use treatment services, with a focus on how community characteristics drive these disparities. Her work has been supported by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), and the National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS), a center of the National Institutes for Health. Jennifer is also a member of the NARR board of directors and is a co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion committee.
