Jason Howell is a person in long-term recovery from mental health and substance use issues. He has a Bachelors of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and has various certifications: Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Recovery Support Peer Specialist and Peer Specialist Supervisor. Howell is Executive Director of RecoveryPeople, a nonprofit that promotes recovery by engaging, educating and empowering the recovery community, workforce and service providers. He has previously served on the Board of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) National Advisory Council (NAC) and the Texas Behavioral Health Advisory Committee.
