Gail Buzzelli is a Certified Peer Support Specialist for Ohio Guidestone in Medina, Ohio. She has
been providing peer support since 2021. Gail connects with her peers by helping them to
recognize the events that led to addiction and inspiring them to find their personal pathway to
a lifetime of recovery. Gail started her personal recovery in 2017 with the successful completion
of an inpatient treatment program, IOP and the start of service to others.
She joined the Board of Directors at Hope Recovery Community, an RCO in Medina, in 2019 and
currently serves as Vice President. At HRC, Gail chairs the Advocacy Committee and is
passionate about working to remove the barriers that members of the recovery community
face and the Governance Committee, which oversees policy and procedures for Hope Recovery
Community and its housing division, Cathy's House.
Gail is a domestic violence survivor and is dedicated to helping others that are victims of
domestic abuse, Before working in recovery, Gail was a paralegal for many years. This
experience allows her to help clients navigate the legal system.
Gail is a proud mom of 7 adult children and Nana to 5 grandchildren. They are her inspiration
and motivation to maintain recovery.
Gail is grateful to be selected for OCAAR's 2025 CPRS leadership cohort to share experiences and develop leadership skills with others working as CPRS throughout Ohio.
