As the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Alliance for Recovery Resources (OKARR), Suzanne Williams is a recognized leader in advancing recovery housing standards and expanding access to quality, supportive living environments across Oklahoma and the nation. With over 29 years of experience in government and nonprofit leadership, Suzanne has built a distinguished career fostering collaborative relationships with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as national organizations focused on recovery, workforce development, and homelessness solutions.

Under Suzanne’s leadership, OKARR plays a pivotal role in strengthening the recovery housing ecosystem, ensuring alignment with the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) standards, and advocating for policies that promote sustainable, high-quality housing for individuals in recovery. Her expertise in developing innovative initiatives in behavioral health, housing, and reentry best practices has led to transformative projects that bridge gaps between recovery support, workforce integration, and long-term stability for individuals overcoming substance use disorders.

Suzanne brings extensive experience in managing contract and philanthropic funding portfolios, securing resources that drive lasting impact in communities. Her skills in grant writing, project management, and mobilizing community volunteers have been instrumental in advancing OKARR’s mission to support and certify recovery residences while fostering a statewide network of recovery-focused housing solutions.

Holding a Master of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Spanish, Suzanne’s educational background reinforces her commitment to evidence-based practices and system-wide collaboration.
