Description

This presentation will explore the critical role of peer supervision in enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of peer support within recovery housing. Strongly aligned with the objectives of Session 7: Strengthening the Peer Workforce in Recovery Housing, the presentation will focus on supervision models tailored specifically to the unique dynamics of residential recovery environments.

Objectives
Identify at least three supervision models applicable to peer support roles in recovery housing settings.

Describe how effective supervision can reduce burnout and increase job satisfaction among peer support staff.

Apply trauma-informed and ethical frameworks to peer supervision practices.

Develop a basic supervision plan tailored to the structure and culture of their own recovery housing program.

Recognize the value of reflective practice and peer-to-peer learning in strengthening the peer workforce.
