Fred Way, MA, Founder and Executive Director of Pennsylvania Alliance of Recovery Residences (PARR), current President and Charter Board member of National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) and the former Administrator for Special Initiatives for the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services Office of Addiction Services in which he worked for 18 years before departing in December of 2010 to build PARR into the NARR Pennsylvania affiliate and an emerging 501c3 non-profit organization. Fred has dedicated his career to working and assisting individuals with substance abuse and mental challenges all while creating an atmosphere of change within his oversight of over 200 staff members during his career in which he has led by example and helped create and mold leaders within the behavioral health and recovery residences systems.
