Description
The concept of recovery capital is embedded as a central component of recovery science and recovery residences (through the auspices of NARR and its affiliates) have been at the forefront of the implementation of this approach, both growing the science and translating the research into improvements in delivery. The paper will focus on three key studies conducted in Virginia that illustrate the importance of recovery capital as a metric: 1. Identification of low capital populations to provide remedial intensive support, 2. Examining the implications of negative recovery capital, 3. Application of recovery capital in justice settings particularly around violent offenders
