Description

Recovery housing plays a vital role in supporting SUD recovery. It's crucial to understand how recovery housing and human trafficking intersect to provide survivors with safe and supportive environments for healing.

Objectives
We will discuss the multifaceted issue of human trafficking, its connection with substance use disorder (SUD), and the role of recovery housing in providing support to survivors. Human trafficking is a global concern with various forms, including sex and labor trafficking. The intersectionality of SUD and human trafficking highlights the vulnerabilities that many survivors face, as addiction and recovery often plays a role in their exploitation and re exploitation.
Recovery housing, a crucial component of SUD recovery, also intersects with human trafficking by offering survivors a safe and supportive environment in which to heal. Recognizing the specific needs of survivors and providing them with tailored support is essential in addressing this complex issue.
