Driven by the desire to ensure access for all to care, treatment, and health promoting environments, Robin earned her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Epidemiology and Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Behavior at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health. Between and during her educational programs, she had the opportunity to serve in a variety of research roles supporting research aimed at reducing health disparities on a wide range of public health issues. As a doctoral student, Robin served as a fellow within the occupational epidemiology core of the NIOSH/CDC-funded Central Appalachian Regional Education and Research Center (CARERC). Her dissertation as an occupational epidemiology fellow focused on assessing and addressing occupational illicit drug exposure among first responders tending to drug overdose. Currently, Robin serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation for Fletcher Group, a national nonprofit organization that promotes translational research focused on improving programs and services for individuals experiencing a substance use disorder (SUD). In this role, she’s responsible for leading a team currently working various research and evaluation projects related to the expansion and/or improvement of recovery housing (RH) and other recovery support services. Within the larger SUD recovery research realm, her interests involve assessment of the effectiveness of adjunctive behavior change interventions that promote continuity of care within RH programs as well as investigating factors impacting engagement with RH programs and other support services.
